I am passionate about the intersection of deep learning and medical imaging. I was first introduced to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) when I worked with Sairam Geethanath as a Research Assistant in 2016 where I created PyPulseq — an open-source Python library for rapid prototyping of MRI pulse sequences.
I have been fascinated by MRI ever since, and my interest to apply deep learning to MRI pushed me to first pursue a M.S. in Electrical Engineering at New York University where I wrote my thesis on Deep Learning for Reconstruction of Undersampled Cartesian k-space. I then proceeded to earn a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York. I was advised by Tommy Vaughan and, of course, Sairam Geethanath, and worked on Novel Image Acquisition and Reconstruction Methods: Towards Autonomous MRI.
